ACTOR.

Maeghan has been performing her entire life. Even when she was just a child in time-out she had jazz hands and put on a faux English accent. She grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and was an active participant in both community theatre and sports. Maeghan has worked with Theatre Raleigh, Raleigh Little Theatre, and trained at UNC School of the Arts. She was also awarded the Sue Scarborough Scholarship through the arts program at Enloe High School for excellence in theatre

After her acceptance to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she spent two vigorous years at the Meisner Studio, followed by a year at The Experimental Theatre Wing, and then graduated top of her May 2020 class at Stonestreet Studios. Through NYU, Maeghan has been trained in stage combat and clowning, vocal performance, and several movement techniques such as Suzuki, Williamson, Grotowski, and improv. She also gained experience with voiceover, commercials, and legit film/tv work.

When not onstage Maeghan is a Box Office Manager at several Off-Broadway theatres (but hopes to some day be originating a role on those stages instead of working in the lobby). Maeghan is also an alumni of ASTEP’s Artist as Citizen Conference at Juilliard, where she joined a conglomerate of young artists and educators striving to bring together art and social entrepreneurship.

WRITER.

Maeghan's poetry has been called "dynamic and demanding" through her intensely defamiliarized emotional imagery. A fresh new voice, she is breathing life into the New York poetic scene.

When she was younger and not as confident with her poetry, Maeghan experimented with short stories and playwrighting based on personal experience. An original one act about her battle with Lemierres Syndrome was produced and put on at Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh and a short horror story detailing the sometimes fetishization of mental health issues like her OCD was published by The October Hill Magazine.

Through the NYU creative writing program, Maeghan finally found her poetic footing. For the summer of 2019, Maeghan studied abroad in Paris, finishing up her creative writing minor by following the footsteps of many poets before her. There she refined her poetic techniques in workshops with Matthew Roher and Catherine Barnett as well as talks with (the most powerful writing duo in the world), Zadie Smith and Nick Laird.
